
A Celestial Evening; Ancient Native story telling of the Navajo night sky.
North Fire & Revolving Man and Woman- an evening enjoying and learning about the enchanting, ancient night sky stories of the Navajo.
Join us with your family for a beautiful desert walk followed by an awesome desert sunset, while seated in a comfortable outdoor amphitheater with spectacular views of the Dona Ana, San Andres and the Organ Mountains.
Enjoy the night sky tour led by a native guide, interpreter and astronomer of our corner of the galaxy.
Learn how to navigate at night, using only your skills as a human compass. Learn some of the Navajo names and the Greco/Roman equivalents for various night sky objects and constellations.
Complimentary wine for adults, bottled water, hot coffee and teas/hot chocolate and light snacks will be served.
A short, easy walk up a slight grade of approx. 1/2 mile from the parking lot will bring you to the top of the hill where the beautiful amphitheater is nestled in the hillside.
After you get your beverages and snacks, get comfy in your seats and enjoy the presentation!
(Van shuttle available for the elderly, or folks that have trouble with the walking the hill at site.)

When: September 9th, Saturday evening
Time start: Park Gate opens at 6:00pm, be at park no later than 6:30pm. Entrance Gates will close after 6:45 sharp. Event will conclude at 9:00pm
Ages: 12 years old and up, (due to the walking on 1/2- mile trail at dusk/dark, the desert terrain, we have put the cut off age group at 12 and up.)
