Event Description:
Oliver Lee Memorial State Park and the Amateur Astronomers Group will host a star party featuring night sky objects. A five day-old waxing crescent Moon graces the western sky.

This event will be held in the park's group shelter. PLEASE park in the lower parking area and follow the solar pathway lights up to the group shelter. We ask that you do this to protect our telescopes and to protect the night vision of attendees. If you bring a telescope to the event or have mobility issues, please feel free to move the orange traffic cone and carefully drive up to the group shelter parking lot. Also, if you bring your dogs, PLEASE keep them leashed and under control. We have had several instances of near fighting between guests' dogs. Remember this is a dark event and some dogs may accidentally be stepped on under foot.
