Join us at Roadrunner Emporium at 10:30 am for a toast and a discussion of the history of the safes from 1900 located at 928 New York Avenue, then on to Victoria Alamogordo where Alice Weinman discusses the Ghosts of New York Avenue then onward to the Flickinger Center for a behind the scenes tour and a sandwich or a salad lunch at Patrons Hall, from there we stop by the New York Avenue Arts & Music Studio owned by Emmanual Renteria and Lydia Aspen and then a bonus stop at a private residence, onward to Otero Arts Inc built in the1936 Womens Building and then end with a tour and discussion at the Historic Tularosa Basin Museum for a docent led tour, This is a full walking tour combining history with ghost tales and an appreciation for art and culture along the way. Artist showcased include Peter Hurd whose works are at the Smithsonian and at the historical Federal Building now the Otero County Building to the craftsmanship and art decor metal works of the historical safes at Roadrunner Emporium dating to 1900.
Ghost tales includes stories of the 1898 horse wrangler, "Willie" to Judy, Maggie and the spirits dancing in the night on New York Avenue. Join us for at the crossroads of history, art, culture and commerce at Roadrunner Emporium
Class Fee is $20 includes morning beverage, lunch at Patrons Hall and entrance fee to Tularosa Basin Museum.
