The Southern New Mexico Festival of Quilts has grown from a two-day event in 2010 to 2019’s three and half-day event filled with classes taught by Holland and Maddy.
Quilters and crafters alike have responded with enthusiasm as venders fill booths with a spectacular range of fabric colors and patterns.
Handcrafted items including woodworking, baskets, unique jewelry, and custom made shoes, among other items give the event a festive feeling.
The SNMFQ is not a traditional quilt show, but rather a celebratory festival of quilting and textile art at the center.
For non-quilters, it is an especially welcoming event, and artists of all genres will find the event to their liking.
Doors open at the Otero County Fairgrounds to general admission, 9:00 a.m. on Friday, June 22nd.
Entrance Fee: $7.00 per day or $10.00 for two-day pass.
