Who called this desolate area, located in the Tularosa Basin, home in the Old West days? Or in the ancient days?
In archaic times, the early people found a home beside Lake Otero, a vast ancient body of water which at one time covered 1,600 square miles.
In the old West, the Apache, the miners, homesteaders, the cavalry, lawmen and outlaws all found their way to this iconic part of Southern New Mexico.
Come out, bring your family, friends or dates and enjoy a enchantingly fun, late afternoon outing at the beautiful White Sands National Park!
