THRIVE's 30th Annual Day of Caring
The Day of Caring has been offered to residents of Otero County communities for 30 years, originally through the United Way of Otero County, and now under the name, Thrive in Southern New Mexico. Volunteers from the community as well as Holloman Air Force Base perform work for seniors and disabled individuals that need assistance at their home. These volunteers perform various tasks such as yard work, window washing, painting and minor repairs.
This year the Day of Caring will take place on Friday, September 10, 2021 from 7:00AM-1:00PM. People in need of assistance should fill out a Residential Job Request Form and return it no later than July 16, 2021 in order to qualify for the volunteer service. The Job Request Form is available at the Thrive in Southern New Mexico office, 1601 10th Street Suite A or on-line at www.LetsThriveNM.org.
For those who would like to support this incredible community event, you can volunteer or donate. Volunteer applications are available on our website or you can call the Thrive office, 437-8400 to sign-up or make a Dayof Caring donation for this community effort. We are seeking cash donations, gift cards to Home Depot or Lowe's Home Improvement ($50-$200) for materials. Thank you so much for your continued support of our community and Thrive in Southern New Mexico.
